Job Description
Locums First is seeking General Practitioners to deliver primary care services in Isle of Tiree.
Work is available up to 2 days a week with flexible sessions to fit alongside existing commitments and portfolio work.
You will provide safe, patient-centred GP consultations with appropriate follow-up and referrals.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct face-to-face and remote consultations with high clinical standards
• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute presentations and long-term conditions
• Prescribe in line with current guidance and local formulary where applicable
• Request and interpret investigations and communicate results appropriately
• Provide referrals and signposting to community and secondary care services
• Maintain accurate clinical records with clear documentation and coding
• Apply safeguarding principles and escalate concerns appropriately
• Work collaboratively with the MDT to support continuity and quality of care
Requirements
• GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Inclusion on the GP Register with recent UK primary care experience
• Strong consultation skills and safe clinical decision-making
• Confidence using common primary care clinical systems and workflows
• Up-to-date compliance including DBS, immunisations, and mandatory training
• Excellent communication, professionalism, and reliability
Working Pattern
• Flexible sessions up to 2 days per week
• Choice of regular ongoing sessions or ad hoc bookings
• Mix of clinic types depending on service demand
