Job Description
Locums First is looking for Nurse Practitioners to support primary care services in Kidwelly.
We can offer flexible sessions up to 3 days a week, balancing consistent work with the freedom to choose what suits you.
You will deliver nurse-led clinics and manage a varied primary care workload.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose, and treat minor illness presentations within scope
• Provide management and reviews for long-term conditions where appropriate
• Deliver health promotion and preventative care advice to patients
• Prescribe or supply medicines in line with qualification and local policy
• Request and interpret investigations and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure appropriate clinical coding
• Work collaboratively with GPs and the MDT to support patient outcomes
• Follow safeguarding processes and clinical governance requirements
Requirements
• NMC registration with relevant Nurse Practitioner training and competencies
• Recent UK primary care experience with confident independent practice
• Prescribing qualification where applicable and within scope of role
• Strong communication skills with patient-centred consultation style
• Ability to use clinical systems and maintain high-quality documentation
• Current compliance including DBS and mandatory training
Working Pattern
• Flexible sessions up to 3 days per week
• Mixture of planned and short-notice bookings available
• Clinic types agreed based on your competence and preference
