Job Description
Locums First is looking for Advanced Clinical Practitioners to join a supportive GP practice team in Petersfield.
You will be working within a well-defined clinical model with strong supervision routes, streamlined admin support and a clear approach to triage, allowing you to practise at an advanced level with confidence and consistency.
Up to 4 days a week available with flexible session options.
Role Snapshot
• An ACP role focused on autonomous clinical practice with clear escalation and MDT support.
Key Responsibilities
• Undertake advanced assessment, diagnosis and management of acute presentations
• Provide same-day appointments and contribute to practice demand management
• Prescribe within scope and adhere to local and national prescribing guidance
• Request, interpret and act on investigations and results appropriately
• Identify deterioration or complexity and escalate safely to the duty clinician
• Maintain high-quality documentation, coding and clear management plans
• Participate in service improvement, audits or governance activity as required
Requirements
• Relevant professional registration and recognised ACP qualification or portfolio evidence
• Independent Prescriber qualification and demonstrable prescribing competence
• Recent experience in UK primary care or urgent care within an ACP capacity
• Strong clinical reasoning, risk management and safety netting skills
• Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and infection control requirements
• Right to work in the UK and up-to-date compliance documentation
Working Pattern
• Locum sessions available up to 4 days per week
• Flexible bookings available, including block bookings or regular weekly sessions
• Daytime working with agreed appointment structure and time for clinical administration
