Job Description

Locums First is looking for Advanced Clinical Practitioners in Livilands.

Designed for ACPs who want autonomy alongside structure, these sessions offer clear clinical pathways, organised appointment lists and dependable admin support. You will have the space to deliver high-quality assessments without unnecessary complexity.

Up to 2 days a week available with flexibility and option to add sessions.

Role Snapshot
• ACP clinics covering acute presentations and same-day demand.
• Opportunity to maintain continuity through repeat bookings where available.

Working Pattern
• Up to 2 days per week with flexible day selection.
• AM PM or full-day sessions depending on the service.
• Ad hoc shifts and regular weekly options available.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced assessment diagnosis and management within ACP scope.
• Request and interpret investigations and implement treatment plans.
• Prescribe where qualified and ensure safe evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate referrals and follow local escalation and safety processes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service flow.

Requirements
• Relevant professional registration and ACP qualification or equivalent experience.
• Independent Prescriber status where required by the service.
• Recent experience in UK primary care or urgent care with advanced assessment skills.
• Strong understanding of governance safeguarding and information governance.
• Confidence working within MDTs and knowing when to escalate.
