Job Description

Locums First is looking for Advanced Nurse Practitioners in Roslin.

This opportunity offers flexible sessional work across GP practices and primary care services, with structured clinics, clear pathways and the option to focus on what you do best. You will be supported by established reception and clinical systems to keep your day running smoothly.

Up to 3 days a week available with flexibility to fit around your schedule.

Role Snapshot
• Autonomous ANP sessions with a mix of same-day and pre-booked work.
• Opportunity for repeat bookings and consistent sites where possible.

Working Pattern
• Up to 3 days per week depending on service need and your availability.
• AM PM or full-day sessions available.
• Flexible booking options including ad hoc shifts and regular weekly patterns.

Key Responsibilities
• Undertake advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Manage acute presentations and minor illness independently within scope.
• Prescribe safely and appropriately where qualified and registered.
• Refer and signpost to appropriate services in line with local pathways.
• Maintain accurate contemporaneous clinical records on the practice clinical system.

Requirements
• Registered Nurse with ANP qualification or equivalent advanced practice credential.
• Independent Prescriber status where applicable to the service.
• Recent UK primary care experience with evidence of autonomous decision-making.
• Confident working with triage and same-day presentation clinics.
• Up-to-date mandatory training and immunisations as required for primary care.
