Job Description
Locums First is looking for Practice Nurse in Market Weighton.
This opportunity is ideal for nurses who want well-structured clinics, clear appointment templates and supportive teams that value high standards in long-term condition care and treatment room work. Flexible sessions available with regular work up to 4 days a week.
Role Snapshot
• Part-time Practice Nurse sessions covering treatment room duties, immunisations and chronic disease support.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver treatment room services including wound care, dressings and ear care where competent
• Administer vaccinations and immunisations in line with PGDs and national guidance
• Support chronic disease management clinics including asthma, COPD and diabetes reviews where trained
• Carry out cervical screening in line with competency and programme standards
• Provide health promotion and preventative care advice to patients
• Maintain accurate records, coding and stock control processes as required
• Work closely with the MDT to support safe recall, follow-up and patient outcomes
Requirements
• NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
• Recent UK general practice nursing experience
• Competence in treatment room skills and immunisations
• Experience with chronic disease reviews and cervical screening is advantageous
• Knowledge of safeguarding, IPC and cold chain management
• Enhanced DBS and compliance documents available
Working Pattern
• Part-time, temporary, locum and contract options available
• Up to 4 days a week with flexibility on which days you work
• Sessions can be mornings, afternoons or full days based on clinic demand
• Regular weekly bookings and ad hoc cover both available
